The history of mosaic goes back some 4,000 years. This ancient art form has seen many styles and interpretations; common to all periods of mosaic art is a level of skill and artistry worthy of the world’s great structures and homes.

Artisan, Randy Lassalle designs and creates one-of-a-kind mosaics for virtually any part of a living space that demands a special statement. Mirrors, window valances, backsplashes, panels and home furnishings are among the types of pieces Randy has produced over the past 10 years. All of her pieces are made from hand cut glass, smalti (special glass tesserae), and ceramic. Her color palette echoes the design and setting in which the mosaic piece will reside. Each piece, quite simply, is a work of art.

Randy’s background is itself a mosaic. She has studied fine art, ceramic techniques, and mosaic production in numerous U.S. and Italian schools. Her influences have been international travel, coastal living, her children, and her longstanding friendships. Currently working from her home studio in Sarasota, FL she has created hand cut glass and ceramic mosaic pieces for private residences, restaurants and resorts. Her work has been featured on HGTV's Crafters Coast To Coast and can currently be seen at Gallery 53, Everything But The Girl, Zoe's Bead Shop and Gallery and on world famous St. Armand's Circle at Setimi's Gellato.
